The Rare Disorders Society (Singapore) is an independent charity  that serves children living with rare disorders. The Society does NOT receive financial help from the Government, Community Chest and other agencies in Singapore. RDSS has been raising funds on its own to finance the various programmes and activities for the benefit of its members. As RDSS has yet to obtain IPC status, donations have been hard to come by because almost all the corporations we approached would prefer to make donation to charities with IPC status so that they could enjoy tax exemption from the Government.

The board committee and management are made up of all volunteers at the moment. Every dollar raised is used to supporting our causes and activities for the beneficiaries.

Rare Disorders Society (Singapore) is currently the only charity focusing and supporting rare disease patients in Singapore. Unlike other charities that focus on specific disease group or made rare genetic disease as one of the supported group, RDSS accept and support ALL patients currently diagnosed with rare diseases, including those undiagnosed cases.
